Guatemala Style

Street vendors in Latin American countries have a style that I like.  They seem so pleased to serve customers, and have a charming, relaxed style.  They do not rush people like a New York City sidewalk hot dog vendor.
The colorful clothes of vendors in Guatemala are part of their charm.  It is no wonder that street market scenes have been painted by artists and have attracted the lenses of photographers.
Late in the day at the ChiChi market in Chichicastenango provides time for the vendors to visit with each other and with lingering customers.
This couple is enjoying a quiet moment at the end of the work day.
Marimbas are very popular in Guatemala.  Some restaurants feature marimba players to add to the festive atmosphere.
