Magnificent Africa

The African landscape seems endless.  In fact, "Serengeti" translates as "endless plain."
We took a small plane from a dirt runway in the western Serengeti back to Arusha.  This photo from the plane shows the slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro.
This woman was cutting the grasses next to the runway at the small, domestic airport where we langed in Arusha.  She seems to be colorfully dressed for landscaping work.
We visited a coffee plantation on the outskirts of Arusha.  It was like a wine bar, with flights of coffee to be sampled.  Neither Dave nor I drink coffee, so we took photos instead.
A post about Africa would not be complete without a photo of wildlife.  This baboon seems to be serving as a sentry for the rest of the pack.
