The Art of London, England

Some people, including Prince Charles, think that London lacks a cohesive architectural style of other European cities, such as Paris. But we think that London has some charming architectural details, as we will try to show you this week. Here is a dragon standing guard on the side of a building.
My guess is that architectural details such as this were built to convey a sense of strength and power for the occupants of the building.
This is a view of St. Paul's Cathedral from the river front in front of the Tate Modern Art Gallery at Bankside. The bridge is the Milennium Bridge, opened in 2000, a pedestrian bridge that links the Bankside area to the area near St. Paul's Cathedral.
This is Queen Anne's Statue standing in front of St. Paul's Cathedral. It is a copy made in 1886 of the original 1712 statue made by Francis Bird.
This is one of countless bridges in London, and they are decorated with elaborate railings, statues, and paint.
This is a view looking up the main dome of St. Paul's Cathedral.

The Millenium Bridge is fun to cross. Quite a wind gets up off the river when you're out in the middle.
