Guatemala Culture

Here are some additional photos from my trip in July to Antigua, Guatemala.   This charming town is surrounded by several volcanos.  One of the volcanos sent plumes of steam into the air, visible from town.
This street vendor offered fruit, and a little shade.
This is a portion of the Chichi market, in the town of Chichicastenango.  On Thursdays and Sundays people bring their food, handcrafts, and other items to sell, and to enjoy visiting with friends.
Marimba bands are very popular in Guatemala.
A passion for photography can cause one to admire the color and texture of everyday objects.

So colorful! Being a photographer does tend to make you see things in a new light.
