The Uniqueness of Las Ramblas in Barcelona, Spain

Las Ramblas is a pedestrian street in Barcelona that runs from the Plaza Catalunya to the port where the Christopher Columbis monument is located. It features lots of stalls selling flowers, souvenirs, produce, and more. The first photo shows some of the miniature flowers in one of the flower stalls.
This grouping of umbrellas and fans was part of the decoration of a Chinese Restaurant.
This dragon is part of the decor of the same Chinese restaurant. Las Ramblas is popular with both tourists and locals. I would think that this Chinese restaurant caters more to locals, as must tourists would want paella or tapas, not Chinese food, in Barcelona.
Las Ramblas is also known for its street performers. Entertainment is always available.
Here is one of the many flower stands. This one is even open at night.
There is a large fruit and vegetable market on Las Ramblas as well. Dave took this photo while I was picking out some fruit. My mother looks annoyed. Perhaps she wanted to be out looking at the street performers rather than picking out some fruit. We stayed in Barcelona for a week this past March. We stayed in an apartment just one block from Las Ramblas, so we enjoyed having it as part of our neighborhood.

And how different your shots are from Rob's. It's amazing how we see (and what we see) as we move through space, each with our own unique sensibility.
